A calm, practical guide to the appointment
What to Expect
Prepare for consultation, treatment day, and the period afterward with questions that support an informed decision.
Before treatment
Expect a review of goals, medical history, contraindications, treatment areas, alternatives, possible effects, rare complications, and cost. Bring questions and disclose relevant conditions or recent procedures.
During the appointment
The area is mapped and an applicator is positioned. Sensations can include pulling, pressure, intense cold, tingling, or aching that may lessen as the area becomes numb.
After the appointment
Many people resume usual activities, but experiences differ. Follow the provider’s instructions and contact them about symptoms that are severe, worsening, or concerning.
Bring your questions
A consultation should give you enough information to decide without pressure.
