Is CoolSculpting® a weight-loss procedure?
No. It is designed to reduce visible fat bulges in specific areas, not to treat obesity or replace a weight-loss plan.
Which areas are cleared for treatment?
Cleared areas include the abdomen, flanks, thighs, upper arms, back and bra fat, the area beneath the buttocks, and areas beneath the chin and jawline. Suitability for any particular person requires an individual assessment.
Will I need more than one treatment?
Some people may consider more than one session. The number and timing should be discussed with a qualified provider after an assessment.
What side effects are possible?
Temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, cramping, and altered sensation can occur. A rare complication, paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, causes tissue in the treated area to enlarge rather than shrink. Review the full safety information before deciding.
How do I know if I am a candidate?
A qualified provider should review your medical history, the area you want to treat, and your goals. Some cold-related medical conditions mean the treatment should not be used.
